Campina Grande, Paraíba is located in the North East of Brazil. It is in the center of the state Paraíba with a population of about 355,000 people. This city is known to be the most important city of the North East Brazilian sub-region, “Sertão”. This city is very beautiful and in the center is a giant lake called Açude Velho, or “Old Lake”. This city leads in industrial, technological and educational centers in the North East of Brazil.
O Maior São João do Mundo (30 Day Festival)
During the dates of June 6th to July 6th there is a month long party called “São João”. The festival has music, dancing, guest performers and food. They build beautiful buildings for the show.
